This old house had some miner ground water seepage in the basement. Our solution was the CleanSpace Encapsulation system - laying down drainage matting, 20 mil CleanSpace liner, and perimeter blanket insulation. This basement can now be used as a storage area!
Rodents had made a pretty comfortable home in this crawlspace. We cleaned up the nests and debris to lay down our dimpled drainage matting and 20 mil thick CleanSpace liner, which we fastened and sealed around the perimeter. Then we reinsulated and sealed up the air gaps around the rim joists & sill plates with closed cell spray foam to help prevent any critters from entering in the future.
This crawlspace was used for storage of building maintenace items, but was getting lost to the dust and debris. We removed the debris and existing loose layed liner. After installing the CleanSpace Encapsulation System we were able to shut down the dust and create a "Clean Space" to store the salvaged building maintenance items.
This crawlspace needed rodent infested insulation removed & replaced. While we were there we air sealed the perimeter rim assembly to shut down the air & pest infiltration. Copper wire mesh is stuffed into any cracks or crevaces 1/4" or greater before we apply closed cell spray foam 2" to 3" to the whole face of the rim joist, overlapping the sill plate, & onto the top of the concrete foundation wall. This prevents rodents from chewing through the spray foam. We also bagged and disposed old building materials and clutter. Then we installed an isulation barrier to help keep the air clean and free of fiberglass particles - especially with the wine cellar's air conditioning unit pulling air from the crawlspace. Lastly we HEPA vaccumed the horizonal surfaces creating a clean storage room for the new owners.
This crawlspace had many intrusion points and air gaps where rodents were able to move in and out. This resulted in pine cones and destroyed insulation. We removed the debris and insulation. Then we sprayed a botanical disinfectant on all horizontal surfaces. To prevent the rodents from returning we screwed in blocks of wood to any larger holes, stuffed air gaps with copper wire mesh and spray foam. Lastly we encapsulated the earth and walls to shut down any ground water seepage & re-insulated the rim assembly to help prevent heat loss & save energy.
